RTH Camping Events

HOAC Centennial Camping Extravaganza - Encampment
The Centennial Encampment/Campout will be held at the Naish Scout Reservation September 24 - 26, and will replace our regular Camporee. Details are being posted as they are know. This is information NOT final.

CENTENNIAL CAMPOUT GUIDE

BOY SCOUTS / WEBLOS / VENTURE

* will camp on the equestrian property northwest of cub world, both Friday and Saturday nights
* will be divided into six subcamps for camping and have assigned camping locations
* will be bussed in; backpack your tent and gear onto the site; don't plan on coming and going all weekend
* no cooking; all food is provided; no fires in camp
* Webelos guests will come with Troops and camp with them, and will camp two nights
* action events will occur all day Saturday on site
* vendors with camping goods for sale
* amazing evening show Saturday evening

CUB SCOUT / PARENT

* will camp at Naish; limited camping availability for Cub and Parent - still being worked out
* will arrive Saturday morning; if camping, will camp Sat night; this will be a cub-parent campout with extended family not attending
* will be bussed in from locations to be announced later.
* no cooking; will have all meals provided
* action events will occur all day Saturday in Naish main camp
* vendors with camping goods for sale on on the Boy Scout site
* amazing evening show Saturday evening

BOY SCOUTS / WEBLOS

The encampent guide is supposed to be online, along with the online registration system, on June 16, on the HOAC site. We will post a link from here to there to help you.

Costs:

$30 for 2-night campers (Boy Scouts / Webelos)
$25 for 1-night campers (Cub Scouts)
$20 for day campers (Cub Scouts attending only the Saturday activities)

Costs include meals, special event passport on lanyard, portapotties, transportation, and ???

Semi-final maps of the Boy Scout area and Cub area at Naish have been released. These may not be final.

Cub Family Campout - a supplement to the 2010 Centennial Encampment

Due to the limited camping space for Cub Scouts at the Centennial Encampment, RTH will again hold a Cub Family Campout October 8-9, which will look a lot like last year's CFC except there will be no Camporee/Boy Scouts involved. Also, this year we are privileged to have Trails West join us for our event!
